Moving Recordings to Video Directory

Question? I had a series of recordings from a tv show in my recordings directory. I moved these programs off of my sage server an onto a different computer, deleted them from the sage recordings directory using sage, edited them with a video editing program, and then saved the files under a different file name. I then moved the edited programs with the new file names back into an imported video directory on my sage server. About half of these new files that I placed into the sage imported video directory started showing up again in my recordings directory. Why all of them didn't show up in the recordings directory I don't know. For those that did show up in the recordings directory again, there must be a metadata file embedded in the video file (since I changed the file name) that is telling sage it was once a recording file and should be again. How do I stop this so they will only show in the imported videos directories and not in with the recordings?

I think remuxing them to a different container will remove the embedded metadata.
