InfiniTV Ethernet shows 6 tuners rather than 4
My InfiniTV Ethernet shows 6 tuners rather than 4, but two don't appear to work. Is this a fluke? Before I just 'remove source' I wanted to double check with anyone using this setup. Both show up as "Functioning: false" in the source details, but again, wanted to be sure.
Thanks for any input! Mick |

My dad's has 6 and uses all 6 nearly every weekend. Maybe remove the configs and rerun the SageDCT software. Or is Windows media center running and locking those 2?
Just suggestions.

Thanks to both of you!
I did 'test' originally with media center, perhaps that's it! I'll take a look. What would be the best way to check that and release them if so? I know even less about WMC! ![]() Mick |

SageDCT has test functionality that is simple to use. I recommend testing individual tuners there. You set the channel, then START the stream. Wait however long you want, then you STOP the stream and the file specified can be viewed in VLC.
I got the 6-tuner Ethernet box and found that all 6 tuners just worked (mostly), using the FFMPEG option of V2.7.2. The part that doesn't seem to work affects 1% - 2% or so of the recordings where I will get audio but no video. I think it's due to the way Comcast encodes certain channels and how it sometimes drives SageDCT crazy trying to find the digital streams.

Thanks guys, that got me pointed in the right direction. I ended up removing the old confirm (whihc included the PCIe card) and got the new one setup alone (the PCIe was removed a few weeks ago). I reset the card in the CETON configuration, and then reinitialized it with the SageDCT, and updated the sage.properties . After that I had to reset the Channel guide, and ad / remove channels, but all appear to be working 100% now.
Thanks again for the assist! Mick |
