2 computers with TV Tuners watch shows on either?

Hello all. I have 2 computers with TV Tuners, one in my living room, and one in my bedroom. Is it possible to watch shows that I record in my living room in my bedroom? I have 2 full versions of SageTV. I don't want to have to run client or placeshifter. Can someone tell me how to configure SageTV to allow me to watch shows on either computer, ideally I would like to use the computer in my bedroom to program all 7 of my tuners, 3 in my bedroom 4 in my living room, and watch the showes on either one.

Thanks

Can the client be integrated into SageTV? I don't want to have to run them on separately.

Thanks

See Appendix G in the SageTV manual for info on how to use 2 full installations of SageTV where one is the main server that all clients connect to and the other acts as a network encoder. The main server will have control of all tuners, then you can also run SageTV in client mode on the network encoder PC so that you can watch all recordings there also. (You need 2 full licenses of SageTV for this; the network encoder PC does not need a SageTVClient license.)

Sounds like he doesn't really need or want the two computers to interact, so could he just simply share the recording drives/folder of each computer over the network and add the shared drives to the other computers Sage video folders?

The only drawback to just sharing folders from one PC to the other is that the shows in the shared folders would be treated as imports (with no show information) on the computer that didn't actually record the show.

Not sure if this would work...

Not sure if this would work. I'm just thinking logically. What about storing ALL the recorded TV for both PC's in one single folder. This would be a network folder available to both computers. This way the files should not show as Imported files but should show up in the
"Recorded TV" listing on both PC's exactly the same.

No, it won't work that way. Each installation tracks its airing IDs separately, so even if a recording from some other SageTV installation got listed as a recording, the ID number on the filename would probably be seen as some other show. Often, it wouldn't even be recorgnized at all & would be imported.
