Imported TV Episodes
Since Google has done such a dramtic job of upgrading and supporting SageTV over the last two years... you know, "Full Speed Ahead" and all..... I feel funny asking this......
but..... Are there any plug-ins or anything that would allow me to import my TV show library into Sage? Of course, I can use regular imports, but all that happens is the name of each episode just shows up, alphabetically, in Imported Videos. There doesn't seem to be any way to group them by TV Show and Season/Episode number like AppleTV can. Any ideas or suggestions? |

BMT Plugin can do that.

BMT will add the metadata to the imports and can change them to sage recordings. I also use Gemstone to help control what media shows up under each menu. I think Phoenix will do that as well.

I haven spent hours on installing BMT and can't figure out how to make it work.
The entire reason I want to do this is all my TV episodes ripped from Blu-Ray all were encoded with AAC 5.1 audio. AppleTV will not play this back and converts everything to stereo. Sage works just great. No issues whatsoever. Except for the whole metadata part of Season/Episode and that the collection belongs to a TV Show. Is there any kind of tutorial? I installed BMT but the http://192.168.1.xx:8080/bmt/ doesn't work. All I get is IE telling me it can't connect. I restarted the Sage service as recommended. |

Srothwell, this is a basic question but you are typing in the IP address of the sage server correct? For example my sage server IP is 192.168.2.10. So to connect to BMT I enter http://192.168.2.10:8080/bmt/ into my browser.

unfortunately, yes I am. I wish it was just an error.
When I log into the sage server itself, even doing the http://localhost:8080/bmt/ doesn't work I am running Windows Server 2008R2 with this Sage server. I don't know why that would make a difference, just throwing that out there. |
