Error codes?

Hi all,

Been a long time since I've had an issue with my sage setup, but I have had some new errors with some recordings made with my Silicondust Cablecard tuner. This doesn't happen on all recordings (maybe 5%) and it isn't consistent to a specific show/time/channel but the error message is.

I get a sage.playback error -4,80004005. I'm not quite sure of the context of the message. Comskip is able to process the video file. However, playback from the server or from client just spins before throwing this sage error. I've tried playing the file from VLC, and it says the file is not playable or there are errors.

Before I try something with the cablecard tuner, I wanted to see if anyone knows about that error type and help shed some light on what it really means.

I used to lose about 5%-10% of my recordings due to small file size or just unplayable. After installing SageDCT 2.7.0.2 with "FFMPEG capture", the latest Prime beta code (20130708 Beta 1), pretty much everything records. At times though I need to use VLC for playback if the picture in SageTV isn't good.

After some other tech upgrades like a new ipad for da wife and reinstalling my placeshifter (and actually using it), I've discovered that the recording that throw the error on the server aren't corrupted. They will play back in both.
With that discovery, I've been fiddling with the different h.264 player options in SageTV. But they all still throw the same error when playing from the server. And unfortunately it doesn't seem to be every recording, nor specific to a channel, or anything else. VLC WILL play them from the server though.

Does anyone have any thoughts that may help me shed more light?
