Updating STVs while SageTV running - possible?

Hi All,

First, a big Thank you for all - thanks to your help I now have my HTPC running perfectly (Two tuners - PVR-250MCE & ATI Ehome Wonder - and two STBs, using USB-UIRT 2 zones controling them, HEBREW EPG data - using my own custom made C software - running SageTV & MlbDude2 STV).

Due to a problem in the Hebrew support, if I restart SageTV I loose all my favorites (well, the name of the show turns into ???? ??? ???...), so I realy DO NOT want to restart SageTV that often , but I do want to install the latest MlbDude2 STVs -

Can it be done without turning off and restarting SageTV?

Could someone please try it for me - to change the STV in the setup screen to, let say, the MlbDude STV, then copy the new MlbDude2 STV over the old one and changing back to it in the setup screen.

Thanks again!
Oren.

Actually, with the latest originalv2.stv, you can switch the STV while SageTV is running, at least on the server. Download here: OriginalV2.stv. Go to Detailed Setup -> Advanced.

I find that does not work 100%. Sometimes there are still remnants of the last running STV in memory or something. It is worth a shot though.

I had that problem on the client, but thought it was only a client issue... I guess not, if you've had the problem on the server.
