HD300 Doesn't work with IR cable
I bought a used HD300 and for some reason, the remote ONLY works with the IR cable. If I unplug the IR cable, the box doesn't recognize the signal. In fact, the IR signal light on the front doesn't respond at all if the cable isn't plugged in.
This happens whether the extender is connected to my server or not. I'm stumped.

Sounds like the front IR receiver is either broken or disconnected. When you plug in the IR cord, you bypass the front receiver I believe. If it was me, I'd just use the IR cord and be done with it.
