Plugin Request: STBKeepAlive
Is it considered bad manners to ask someone else to do work for us lazy, not so smart folks?
Based on my post (#188) in this thread, would it make sense to have a SageTV plugin actually perform the intended action? Is that possible? http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...=35228&page=10

I wrote such a script a long, long time ago. It was supposed to work for any IR device that Sage recognized, but in practice, it only seems to work properly with the USB-UIRT. Now the script I wrote is meant to be run from within my SJQ plugin. You could modify it to run standalone (with the sagex remote apis). I know you say you're not a programmer, but you're going to need to either learn enough to get it to work or convince someone to do the port for you. Here's your starting point script. Good luck!
