Solution for those that Virtualize
I have sagetv setup on a esxi 5.1 server with colossuss tuners passed through. I recently experienced a problem that I felt I should share the solution, in case anyone else has the issue.
Out of the blue, my sagetv server no longer saw my colossus tv tuners. I discover the excalmation point indicating "Failed to start, device code error 10". I bumped into a few threads talking about turning off the computer and turning it back on. I did this with the vm. This solution did not work. I then spent hours trying different ideas including reinstalling drivers, different drivers etc. The solution: Shutdown the virtual machine. Shutdown the esxi server. i waited for say 3 minutes and turned everything back on. This is what fixed the issue. If I would've tried this right away it would've saved me hours of work. Anyway I hope this helps save someone time.
