No it's not a rsakey problem probably my reader is the problem. If i buy a usb smargo reader will it work with your version of oscam ?

Since i have a basic subscription and sharing additional package with friends i'd really like your plugin to support newcamd reader in oscam not only standard card reader because that way it will be possible for me so stick with your solution otherwise i will have to stay with my unstable setup with DVBLogic.

Yes, the smargo is one of the protocol allowed by my plugin.

I perfectly understand your issue, but if I open up the newcam protocol or any other protocol that allows to use card sharing I'll implicitly allow any illegal use of my plugin which will probably ban me from this forum.

I know that DVBLogic is a bit complicated and difficult to configure (my friend deanm will have a lot to say about this), but I thought it was rock solid, isn't the case any more?

Yes DVBLogic is a pain to configure but it has been stable for me.

I have wrote a program that will take the pain away and it works quite well.

Been using it since April and thought its about time I released the code for other people to test. Will be starting a new thread soon but unfortunately I go away on holiday today for two weeks and didn't have time to look for beta testers.

My code takes your configuration from DigiGuide and will then do the following

Create Sage DVB-S or DVBLogic Frq files (with channel numbers that match)
Create XMLTV line up

So all you have to is make a change in DigiGuide and no more messing with Frq files.

It automaticly handles channel changes and will also change and copy channel logos (that last part still being worked on)

In the mean time if anyone intrested PM me. When I get back I will start new thread with guides etc

Sorry to hijack your thread Eddy

Dean

All Network Encoder like DVBE4Sage have always supported MDAPI plugin (directly or indirectly) and no one have been banned from the forum so you will not be ban for sure.

In the other hand it's your choice and you're the only that can do it so i will probably have to forget your filter for that, the only thing i'm sad about is that i had wait so many months for it and in the final i can't use it.

See ya.

As far as I'm aware only DVBLogic v3.xx works with SageTV.

So I have written my code for v3.xx

I have also noticed that you are not based in the UK. My code is for UK only.

Thumbs up Collecting oscam.server files

Hi,

if any of you managed to have you subscription card being successfully recognised by OSCAM, why not sharing your "oscam.server" file with others? In particular, cards from any country other than UK & Italy are welcome and can help others, so please sent it to me via email and I will post them to the plugin announcement thread.

Thanks
Eddy

Just an FYI... NOF71's signature says he's in Canada. I can tell you cardsharing is NOT illegal in Canada. Not yet anyway. Bell recently tried to change that but they lost in the hearing stage at the CRTC. That's why all the IKS sites and services are based out of Canada.

Probably wont change your mind but that's for anyone else who happens to be wondering

You need to enable the VCP (Virtual COM port) in Windows, please have a look HERE for details.

Also please read the OSCAM instruction in the announcement thread for the device port enumeration (tty0 = COM1)

Many Thanks, that's sorted it.
I'm a little apprehensive of putting my sky card into the reader as ive read recently that sky has started clamping down on the use of its cards outside of its own boxes. Ive heard that if the card tries to update its entitlements via oscam the card goes back to only showing the free channels. Does anyone know if this is the case.
I have have just recently had sky installed, with an extra multiroom box that i was going to use in my sage system.

OSCAM doesn't write anything to the card if not instructed to do so and at the moment my plugin doesn't send/receive anything to OSCAM it just make sure it can keep a reliable communication with OSCAM in any circumstance. Saying that don't do anything that you would not feel comfortable with.

In the future, I'll look into avoid sending EMM to OSCAM on a per client basis as I would feel nervous doing that myself.

Unfortunately I don't have a BSkyB card myself only "Tivusat" so cannot test I'm afraid, however I do know that my friend starfire managed to get his BSkyB card working with this version of OSCAM and being able to show the entitlements.

Things are moving on...

Things are progressing really well, I managed to finally being able to write the EMM successfully, see the OSCAM log below:

Code:
...
[27/07/2013 14:15:38] - 14:15:38 200817A0 r Tivusat [nagra] SageTVUser_01 emmtype=shared, len=142, idx=21, cnt=1: written (437 ms)
[27/07/2013 14:16:38] - 14:16:38 200817A0 r Tivusat [nagra] SageTVUser_01 emmtype=shared, len=142, idx=22, cnt=1: written (454 ms)
[27/07/2013 14:17:37] - 14:17:37 200817A0 r Tivusat [nagra] SageTVUser_01 emmtype=shared, len=142, idx=23, cnt=1: written (438 ms)
[27/07/2013 14:23:38] - 14:23:38 200817A0 r Tivusat [nagra] SageTVUser_01 emmtype=shared, len=142, idx=24, cnt=1: written (437 ms)
[27/07/2013 14:24:37] - 14:24:37 200817A0 r Tivusat [nagra] SageTVUser_01 emmtype=shared, len=142, idx=25, cnt=1: written (438 ms)
[27/07/2013 14:25:38] - 14:25:38 200817A0 r Tivusat [nagra] SageTVUser_01 emmtype=shared, len=142, idx=26, cnt=1: written (437 ms)
[27/07/2013 14:26:38] - 14:26:38 200817A0 r Tivusat [nagra] SageTVUser_01 emmtype=shared, len=142, idx=27, cnt=1: written (453 ms)
[27/07/2013 14:28:38] - 14:28:38 200817A0 r Tivusat [nagra] SageTVUser_01 emmtype=shared, len=142, idx=28, cnt=1: written (438 ms)
...
And here the ECM being correctly decoded from OSCAM and the the control word returned back to the filter:

Code:
[27/07/2013 15:00:08] - 15:00:08 20080EB8 c SageTVUser_01 (183D/2136/91): found (282 ms) by Tivusat
[27/07/2013 15:00:08] - 15:00:08 20080EB8 c cw:
[27/07/2013 15:00:08] - 15:00:08 20080EB8 D4 D0 57 FB 50 F3 0E 51 47 FD 0D 51 F2 1A 3E 4A
How's about your test going so far?

Eddy

Smile It's official!

Descrambling encrypted DVB transport stream with SageTV in native mode and completely transparent to SageTV is possible and works!

Tonight my very first attempt to put the decrypter inline by using the control words returned by OSCAM allowed me to watch an encrypted channel within SageTV interface

I'm quite happy with the result so far, however still lots to do, for instance the audio is perfect as well as the video, i.e. no pixellation or audio breaks up, but the video suffers from some noticeable delay which I'm convinced is due to my buffering mechanism that needs to be tuned properly, well it is the first time right?

I can see some tiny light at the end of the tunnel now

Eddy

I haven't yet, its proving a bit difficult. All the info i can find seems to be related to dream boxes rather than on a pc with card reader. It looks like your plugin is coming along well and Deanm has made app to make the .frq's from a digiguide lineup. So everything coming together but i cant test them properley until i get oscam reading my card.

Starfire managed to get his Sky card working with OSCAM, but he's got a different card reader, so that might be the issue. It might be a good idea contact him directly, I spoke to him already and he's aware of your issue, so just send him a PM and he'll help you out...

Yeah, I think Dean made a pretty good job with his app in particular the file generation for DVBLogic which are a PITA to deal with. I made a standalone version of the DVB-S Importer engine just for him to help parsing the data from KingOfSat website, but he did integrate all the various import/export stages all by himself, well done!
