Archived becomes Manual that wont go away

I recently installed Windows 8, running the latest version of SageTV with webserver and comskip plugins. I pointed Sage to my recordings folder and all got imported ... marked as Archived (some 254 recordings). So I grouped them and clear the A flag - soon as I do that, I get the Manual recording flag! Of course no way to clear that, so I installed the webserver and tried to clear all M flags through that, but only about 1/4 of them got cleared (on the first page of the webserver listing? not sure).
Apart from deleting all recordings, how to get rid of the Manual flag?
Thanks

Select the recording with your remote hit options then recording options and simply remove the manual flag.

There are at least 200 recordings left. Looking for a shortcut.

Use the web browser browse recordings... under show options set to show all select all then remove manual status.

You have to scroll all the way to the bottom when you select show options Results Per Page then select all. Then scroll all the way to the bottom and select remove manual flag.

Yes, thanks, I know how to do it - I did it for each page of three pages. No luck. Is there a file somewhere I can edit?

No if it is not working for you then you have to do them manually.

Maybe I'm missing something here, so forgive me if I'm confusing things. Don't Sage files need to be either manual recordings, favorites, or archives? If they aren't one of those, what would they be? Are you trying to get them back as favorites?

Yes you are missing something.. If something happens to the Sage DB or you move recordings they appear as Archived when you unarchive them they become manual recordings... therefore SageTv will never delete them.

Solved it, in the web interface, show options, filter by "manual", and "expand all folders". Then clear the manual flag, and it works!
