Error 8 - User Rejected resolution Options for playback
Hi,
Running the latest version of Gemstone, and if I try to watch a live show (from EPG) and the tuner is recording something else, I get the error popup instead of the usual 'Do you want top cancel the current recording...." If i switch back to the default STV, I get the original popup/warning ok, so its just something that happened with Gemstone. i find this error back a few years ago happening with the original Diamond, but not sure if its the same problem now? Thanks for the help!

Same issue. We could never actually figure out where that was happening when you logged this issue with Diamond. We didn't touch that code that we knew of, so hard to figure out what changed to cause it.
I'll have a look again when I have some time. J |

Not sure if it helps but i believe the behavior is correct if its recording a favorite instead of a manual recording. I hadn't seen this error until yesterday but i rarely schedule manual recordings

Apparently i was mistaken favorite has the same wrong behavior.

Confirmed here. Favorites has the wrong behavior.

Is there an issue for this on the issues site? If not, please open one and a few users with the issue can describe the issue so we can hunt it down.

I gather this issue is being managed (given the note and link), but thought I'd support by informing:
Saw the error 2x. One on my Client, and later on an Extender. For me, the impact was that Gemstone sadly had to go away on the client. I have that setup in my guest room...and can't see training guests on how to work around it. I don't (ever?) watch live tv, so no big impact to me/my extender. Not a complaint, but adding support to its' impact. Thanks for Gemstone, again! |

Hi, it has been a while and I never posted re-creatable steps. tisk tisk on me.
I'm still seeing this error. Is it worth sharing any more details? Or is best to assume this isn't going to be looked into (given Sage's status, etc.)? |

Would the logs show it? I can film myself doing it. Easily recreated here.

This error essentially prevented some house guests from using SageTV this weekend. That was a bummer.
Does anyone know - Is there an easy way to switch from using Gemstone to stock UI on an HD300 and go back later? Or will this be a pain and not worth looking into? |
