I am definitely interested in the profile for the DVRMSToolbox. I started working on cleaning up my comskip.ini settings as discussed earlier in this thread. I downloaded and installed DVRMSToolbox last night. I wasn't sure what profile was the best for converting a sagetv recording to an mkv file with cutting the commercials. I am looking to get plex direct playback on a Roku XS and on a Nexus 7. It is a little overwhelming so I need to spend some time reading and experimenting. Any help or profiles that will make this easier would be greatly appreciated, if I get something figured out, I will be sure to post.

I am fooling around with DVRMSToolbox and I can't get the sage setup correct. The tab for the sage setup has a default Query URL as follows: /sage/DetailedInfo?xml=yes&FileName={0}

My gut tells me this url is dated as I get a 404 not found when I hit the test config. My port username and password are all correct. Any suggestions?

That path should still work fine (just tested on my web server, and it does return the XML for the show with the path given). Do you have the sagetv web interface installed and functioning?

Yes, you don't have the 'SageTV Web Interface' installed. It is a plugin in the General section. Should be listed as :

Code:
SageTV Web Interface by nielm, jreichen, Slugger
   version 2.36.1810
Manage SageTV activity, media files, and playlists from desktop web browsers.

Thanks Fuzzy, I had used this plugin years ago and had forgotten about it.
On to figuring our DVRMSToolbox to cut commercials and convert to a native playback format for a Nexus 7 and Roku.

PM me and we can work together on this. I'm interested in the roku part, but we can work together to get something cranked out.

This thread got me interested in Plex again, man this software is a lot more powerful than I realized. I just posted here about my attempts to use it to leverage a cheap Roku as an audio source for my whole house audio (squeezebox isn't working with W7/64, Sonos doesn't integrate with Google Music).

I can't get the SageBMT agent working, but i'm pretty sure thats PBKAC. A lot of that recently.

Thanks for the offer, I need to spend some quality alone time with it first.

Although I bet i'll stare at it, post a long detailed thread, and then solve my problem 2 minutes later. Stupid HTPC/HAPC hobby...

PluckyHD,

I was wondering how you are making out with the batch conversion script?

Sorry for taking so long to respond. I am back to work on it. It is fully functional just trying to get a working UI. Long story short been a long couple of months and my trial of makemkv is over so need to buy the full version. I hope to have a UI and get something out soon.

Thanks for the update! Our family is taking a 16 hour car ride for spring break (leaving 3/27) and I am looking to convert my entire kids dvd collection to a format that will playback natively on the Nexus 7. Your script would save me converting each folder manually. In the meantime I plan on experimenting with DVRMStoolbox to see If I can automate this process using handbrake.

I don't think makemkv ever really needs to be purchased at this point. just download a new version. If there is no 'new' enough version available, there is usually a trial key available on the makemkv forums. here

Exactly correct. Uninstall the old version, install the new one, get the new key from that thread and enter it. Good to go.

Some of the last forum post seem to hint that it will soon be out of beta.

I went ahead and picked up a copy.

It's a good enough product to warrant buying. I use it all the time.
