Playon
I am running Gemstone and I installed Playon for the first time to try Netflix but I see no Playon to choose from the menu.
Do I have to manually add it to the menu and how do I do that? Thank you Bill

Bill, did you ever get this figured out? I've been considering adding Playon to Sage so was curious if this was working alongside Gemstone (the FAQ seems to indicate it is compatible).

Playon works fine with Gemstone, you just need to add the links via the menu manager. I am sure if you search this forum, the instructions will become apparent.
read through this thread, it may help. All I know is it works for me, set it up long ago, and have to leave for work, so I don't have time to elaborate, plus others have already done the hard work already. http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...layon+gemstone Last edited by Ender; 12-31-2012 at 07:42 PM. I am going to wait on Playon because of several reason
Seem only streaming service with closed caption or subtitle that will work with Playon is Hulu and from forum and post it seem that Hulu and Amazon is not working with Playon very well. Do anyone here have Playon working with subtitle on Netflix or Amazon? Also since we need subtitles or closed caption (we're a Deaf family) so we are researching maybe getting a hardware device that can stream just about all services with either subtitle or closed caption but of course we lose out saving the stream for offline viewing. We wanting to be able to do some offline viewing for our children on iPad etc for long road trips. Right now I am doing all the work converting videos with subtitles burn into the video and saving it to iPad or Android tablet etc. We basically looking for an easier way to do this with subtitles or closed captioing without having to do all those works for each recordings. Bill

Streaming services really haven't done well on the caption/subtitle front. You'll likely have spotty support no matter where you go for it.
