Record with Windows Media Center... And then convert to Mpeg and rename so that SagetTV picks it up and scans for commercials.

Do you setup manual recordings, or is your Sage just DOA at the moment?
Dependent on how long it takes I may switch over temporarily to Windows Media Center as I have it off-line, but configured ready to go. As soon as Sage is back up I will return to it. Thanks to those working on the issues with the EPG!!

Burning through already recorded content.

...and ...shutter ...I had to sit through commercials while watching a program live!

Thanks for the update!!! Been waiting for it to come back as I removed my tuners last night and could not re-add them due to the problem.

The EPG servers should be back in working order now.

Great. Should mine still say next EPG update in 0 hours? I removed the 'server_update_id' and 'expanded_until' data for each in the sage.properties and forced and EPG update.

Edit:

I'm fairly sure that mine is still not getting EPG data properly. There was a new channel that was added to my lineup yesterday and it still shows no data.

Does zap2it.com show any programming info for the new channel yet?

Ok, I forced another EPG update now and it appears to have data on the new channel and the next update is no longer zero. I think it's working now.

How many days of program data?

Just curious on how many days of program data you were able to get. I've usually gotten 13 days worth but currently only have 10 days. Not sure if I have a problem or if it is the new norm.

I was wondering this as well. I was waiting to post and not bother Andy again after the server fix, but I'm not getting any new data past the 17th at 3pm.

I removed the tags in the properties file as other threads indicated, and I toggled a few channels in my lineup. I know I have forced an EPG update.

As of yet, I've not seen any new data since the server problem.

so have a bunch of NO DATA holes in my EPG data.

I assume I need to follow these instructions: http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...704#post119704

My question is:
1. Will the Airing IDs all change in the database? (V6)
2. Is there a quick method to get the physical file names (Airing number component) in sync with the DB Airing IDs?

Reason I ask is because somehow my stuff got screwed up in the past somehow. So with EPG updates, I sometimes ended up having strange Future Recordings or Archived/Unarchived Recordings show different names in the grids but when looking at details, was actually old recordings and with some file copies/delete ole/rename to match EPG Airing ID, got it in sync again.

Long drawn out process that I don't look forward to again.

At first I only got 10 days with the auto update and forcing an update. But, once I edited the sage.propertise file and removed the parameters noted in Andy's FAQ post (the normal EPG fix) I got the normal 14 days.

Andy, thanks so much for the fix and update!

I removed the lines in the sage.properties, and I never could get any data.

Now I'm right back to square one, My server gives the yellow information I, and says my channel lineup is gone from the EPG server.

Is there anything else I can try other than editing out the parameters in the sage.properties file?

No Providers Showing on source setup

Just moved my sage setup over to a new server and when I went to setup the tuning sources I get no results after entering my zip code. As the old server was shutdown but no wiped yet, I powered it back on, and removed the sources there as well and get the same thing. Has the server that provides this data been taken offline?

I'm not worried (yet) but this morning was the second straight day that I found the "No lineup found" EPG warning message.

Andy, if you say it's fixed (your post Monday), well, I received messages Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning....
