Delete button on remote

Hello,

Diamond used to support the delete button on the remote. If I was on a group of TV shows it would even prompt me with a few options. I could delete the entire group, just the watched, or a few other options I think. I can't get any of this to work with Gemstone. Also, pressing the delete button on just a single item does not prompt me to delete that file. Am I missing something?

You're not missing anything. There were some pretty significant changes to the "Flows" and we haven't finished adding all of those commands back yet.

I believe you can still get to the group delete command through the menu if you select a group.

Ah, OK. It's easy to forget that Gemstone is still in beta, since it is already such a large improvement over Diamond and works so well.

Does this also explain why we can't hit Info on a series or season to mark everything watched/unwatched? My wife just pointed out that's missing and I couldn't say why. I'm using a Sage flow for imported TV series and I couldn't find a way to do it, but we used to have that option in Diamond.

Everything else about Gemstone is awesome though, we appreciate all your hard work!

You can press watch and if the current item is a single media item it will toggle the watched flag. If it is a grouping of items then you will get a prompt to set all or clear all watched.

Thanks, that fixed it. My only problem was I didn't have a button on the remote setup to send the "watched" command (using EventGhost). Guess I should have checked that first

Has there been any progress in getting the Delete remote button functionality into Gemstone yet? This is a crucial piece of functionality for a lot of people, if not most people to make sure they is always enough room on hard drives for future recordings.

It is on the list and should get into one of the next releases...but remember you can still delete by pressing select/ok on a media item and selecting delete...however you would need to leave the flow and return for you to see the item disappear even though it is really deleted.
