Properties not being generated

Not sure if this is right place to put this. Have had my system running fine for several months. I use VideoRedo's VAP app to cut commercials and the convert to mp4 files. All this was working fine last tv season.

Now with new season underway and shows are being recorded again, I noticed that the properties files are not being generated. When I go in and view tv show listing, they don't show up. I look into BMT and look at the new shows properties, it is saying that it is not a sagetv recording.

Again, never had this issue last season. Nothing changed. Why is it not creating the files or seeing it as a sage recording now????

*EDIT* Also noticed that the ShowID is starting with MV.

If nothing has changed, then I don't really know the answer. Certainly if a show has an id of MV then for some reason, sagetv said it was movie. All TV shows should start with EP and if it's been updated by bmt, then then the next 2 letters are "mt" (ie, EPmt and MVmt).

Here's another one. This has ID as EP, yet no properties file is being generated. And it thinks it's a movie and not a ssage recording.

According to your log, Phoenix is trying to find TheMiddle and not The Middle. This may be a naming issue, not sure. I'll add a unit test and see why it is failing.

That would explain why any show that has more than one word is failing while one word shows work i.e. Castle, Revolution,etc.

Was away for a few days. Came back and see that certain shows with more than one word show up as sage recordings i.e. 30 Rock and Up all night. The X Factor and Modern Family as well as others are still getting mislabeled.

Any ideas as to why yet?

I created a mediaTitles.xml file to get it to recognize multi word shows. That's working but I still don't get properties files created anymore and all shows are listed as imports. It works, but wish they were listed as recordings for another app I use in bedroom.

I did make a small change to the scanner, to try and handle the CamelCase names but, that won't go out until the next phoenix-api release...which will probably be a week away.

If you use phoenix ui or gemstone, it can pull all TV into a single view, whether or not they are recordings or not. There is also a flag in bmt web ui configuration that you can turn on, that will import tv files as recordings. Typically that flag is turned off, since more more modern UIs (Phoenix and Gemstone) don't really care if sage thinks it's a recording or not.

I have that flag enabled. I do have gemstone and do have the shows listed there.

I am using is XBMC in the bedroom and there is a plugin for Sagetv but it doesn't look for imported shows so they don't show up.
Not a real big deal as I can access them thru file shares. It's just that I don't get any metadata this way.

Perhaps it will be included in the future.
