backgrounds on submenus not showing up
I have set background.jpg (the swooshy blue background from the standard sage theme) as the background throughout the entire ADM system. Actually what I did was set it at the top level and left the submenus as <none>.
When I traverse the ADM config screen, it shows me the proper menu item in the little preview window. Here is a screen shot: But when I go to the TV / All Recordings view, this is what I get: I have also tried setting this screen's background explicitly to background.jpg like this: What should i look for to try to fix this? Thanks Greg |

I believe the only way to do this at the moment is to also replace the background.jpg in the gemstone theme folder.

I think this may be a bug/missing feature so please log it so Jusjoken can review it.
http://code.google.com/p/gemstone/issues/list As nyplayer said, the easiest way for now to make all the screens the old Diamond blue is to just copy the "background.jpg" from the Diamond theme folder to the Gemstone folder. Back up the other image first of course. It should be an option to replace the current background that shows for all and then allow you to override that with images for each menu item etc... we may need to put some though into it first though. I guess that what this seams to mean is that more than one mind combined with others doesn't necessarily = better than or = to one.

Setting a menu item to a background in Menu Manager just sets the menu background for when that item or a child is selected. It does not change the background for the destination item... In this case the actual tv recordings screen.
Perhaps it should but ADM did not do that as far as I recall so if we want to add a feature to set a background for the various menu destinations then add it to the issues list and we can take a look at it. k |

Got it. Not what I was expecting but ...
I am fine the way it is now that I have changed the file on disk to do what I want. |
