HDPVR Recordings Timeline Issue

When my SageDCT process crashes all of my non-OTA recordings fall back on my HD-PVR hooked up to my Fios STB.

I've been having an odd issues of late which kind of sounds like some issues of SageTV yesteryear, but not quite.

When many of my HD-PVR recordings are being played back on one of my many extenders, the timeline counts down and up in 2-3 second intervals. This means I only can watch half of the recording through SageTV. Comskip seems to have not had any issue marking all of the commercials in the recordings as they show up in the timeline. But when the timeline reaches a commercial segment, it's not really a commercial yet.

I'm confused why this is happening all of a sudden. I swear I've had my HD-PVR working fine for months before I started to observe this issue.

Any suggestions.
