All Extenders not able to connect fully to Sage Server
Hi All,
I run 2 extenders HD100 and HD300 off of a Sage V7 Server (the last version). Its all been running great until yesterday. My extenders will start up fine, they can see my server , start connecting, do the Sage boot screen and them ... nothing. (the TV's say no signal). I've uninstalled and reinstalled Sage on the Server, reset the extenders (switch off, unplug all cables, put in power , leave on for a couple of mins, unplug power, put all cables back in). Non of which made any difference. I did notice that the extender licence program says I only have 1 valid licence (Which is wrong - so I've sent a note to Sage Support since I cant find the email with the HD300 licence in it - not sure if that email address is checked anymore). But Im assuming that even If I only had 1 licence valid in the system for an extender - I should be able to get 1 of the extenders to work if that was the issue ? Any suggestions or input gratefully received. Cheers Mark

It could be that the extenders are outputting video to the wrong connector. Try doing a hard reset of the HD300 as follows:
Unplug the HD300 Press and hold the Back button on the remote and plug the HD300 back in Hold the Back button until the menus appear. Select Factory reset Then setup the device to output video to the correct connector.

Thanks Tmiranda,
I tried what you suggested - but no joy. I also then re-updated to the latest beta firmware but no joy. I can telnet into the HD300 - is there a log anywhere in that would give a clue ? (I checked the Sage Server Log but didnt see anything of relevance). Cheers Mark

Figured it out !
Not sure why , but Windows 7 on the server had reset my firewall settings. I allowed Sage again in the setup and its all working great. It has made me accelerate my encoding to H.264 MKV though so that I have fallbacks if the extender(s) do give up the ghost in the future. For now though its nice to have Sage back ! Cheers Mark
