Comskip Failing on HDHomerun MPEG files
Not sure what I've done, but for the last few month or so comskip has been failing to process HDHomerun files that are saved as ".mpg". The mpg files fail with a "Could not Open video codec". If I run the file through VideoRedo QSF, comskip will process the file properly.
I also have an HDHomerun Prime and it is saving files as ".ts" and they are processed fine. I tried changing the extension to ts and that didn't help any. Any ideas out there? I think I might have brought this on myself by doing something to change the file container from ts to mpg, but can't remember what it was or by googling it. |

I did finally find this "encode_digital_tv_as_program_stream=true" set on the tuners in question and changed it to false. Apparently this works to generate an MPG file, but the container must be a bit non-standard. I'll find out in a few hours after tonight's recordings complete.

Update - Files created with TS extension, but comskip still fails with "Could not Open video codec". Anybody seeing a similar issue?
