Fan control on laptop cooler ?
Hi
I'm experimenting with a Sage server running on an old laptop. Performance wise, its fine. I have it in the lower, enclosed part of my TV cabinet. Funnily enough, it sometimes gets a bit hot ![]() I was thinking of one of those laptop coolers but wondered if anyone knew if the host could control the fans based on the temp readings or do they run full all the time ? (Which may be a bit noisy) Thanks

Just to folllow up. I bought a ZALMAN ZM-NC1500 which is quiet enough on full power (no fan control)
My sage server/laptop is in a solid wood cabinet yet that cooler keeps the CPU cores at around 50c
