FireWire drive won't automount under Windows
I have an external ioMega FireWire/USB drive that automounts on boot just fine when connected to USB, but won't with FireWire. It doesn't show up in the disk manager either. But if I disconnect and then reconnect the FireWire cable it mounts. Any thoughts on why this may be and how I can get it to mount automatically?
This is under XP SP3. Oh I should mention I tried this with two 1394 interfaces, one on the motherboard and one pci card with the same result. Thanks. --- Edit: bought a 1394b (FireWire 800) card and that mounts drives on boot. Not sure what's special about it though, it uses the same TI drivers the previous interfaces do. Oh well....
