Firewire 800 external drive for recording
I have seen several postings about the speed of the data transfer when trying to record to a NAS. Would an extrernal drive connected to the Sage server with firewire 800 be fast enough or should I go for more internal drives?

I would say more than fast enough. I have it recording to an external USB2 drive and it is fine.
