Sports, Extending Recordings and Watched Flag

I have a few sports team favorites, and of course I set up the favorite to extend the recording. When watching, if I watch past the official stop point, into the extended time, and then stop, with the intention of coming back later to finish, the recording gets marked as watched, so when I come back later, it starts over from the beginning. I realize that this is because it is getting marked as Watched once it gets past (or near) the official guide scheduled stop time.

I have been thru the settings several times, and did not find a setting that seems to solve this.

Is there a way to tell Sage to not mark a show as watched or another trick to stop this behavior? It seems like a problem that would have been addressed years ago. I must be missing something...

Have you tried Slugger's Recording Extender plugin? I believe it may do what you want.

I have used SRE in the past. It did not solve this problem, at least not for me, maybe there was an option, but I dont think so. It just extends live sports recordings. It does not change the way the WATCHED works...if I am wrong, let me know!

It is not a solution but if you use the Dynamic Skip Times plugin you can easily temporarily changes the SkipFwd button to something like 1200 seconds (20 mins) to be able to quickly skip forward to the end of the game. Tmiranda or Slugger would be the experts on this...
