HD-PVR Power Supply Recommendation
My HD-PVR died last night and thanks to the suggestions on this forum I tested the power supply and indeed it died. It is a 5v 2A supply.
I am wondering if any 5v 2A supply will do or whether I should ask Hauppauge if I can purchase one from them. Any suggestions? Thanks! |

You have several options.
You can call Hauppauge and tell them your power supply died. Others have reported here that they sent them a free replacement. You can search through that box of old wall warts that we all have for one that is 5V and at least 2A. If the end doesn't fit, you can generally splice the end from the old on onto the replacement. (This is what I did.) You can cut off the end and splice it onto a molex connector, which you would then plug into the power supply of your PC. This has been done by others here and there are probably some details on how to do this. You can buy a compatible power supply for about $10. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...00_i00_details |
