trial displaying even though i paid

Every time i connect to my server with the placeshifter client it says that the trial period has expired. I have loaded the keys on the server that i bought but it keeps saying this what is going on how do i fix this?

You need to shut down sage and restart it and that should fix the problem. My guess is you used sagetvservicecontrol to run sage tv as a service and after you entered your placeshifter key in register sage tv media extender or placeshifter license that you never shut down sage tv and restarted for the changes to take effect.

i have restarted the server several times since it was registered. do i need to shutdown the service and do the license again and then start back up or something ?? this was working until i upgraded to the latest sagetv

My only other suggestion is try re-entering your key for placeshifter in the appropriate area - unregister it first and if that does not work, then you will know it was not registered and you found the problem.

Also make sure your using the right key as the placeshifter key is different then the sage tv key.


Yes you need to shut down the sage service and restart if you have not did so yet as that fixed the problem for me in the past.

No - I had that SAME PROBLEM TODAY. I'm not sure if it was due to daylight savings time but it said trial ended and I have a vaild license. I shut down sagetv on the server and at start, all programs, sage, I selected the UNREGISTER sage placeshifter license and then I reregistered it again and everything is now working. Of course you need a valid placeshifter license but for some reason mine just automatically became unregistered but that fixed it for me.
