Channel 4 HD on Freesat disappeared

I have been using channel 4HD on Freesat for some time without problem, but it has just today disappeared and I get "No Signal".

The FRQ file shows:
CH:96 onid:2 tsid:2068 sid:21200 frq:11127000 rate:22000 mod:32 pol:2 fec_rate_in:2 sat:0 ctrl:1 #:CHannel4-HD

No doubt the frequency etc.has changed - can anyone give me details of how I should change the FRQ file entry?

Many thanks

Ian

I can confirm still working, it does not appear to have moved. Still being reported on SID=21200, ONID=2, TSID=2068

It has changed from DVB-S2 back to DVB-S and the FEC rate also has changed. Please find the correct values below:

CH:96 onid:2 tsid:2068 sid:21200 frq:11127000 rate:22000 mod:20 pol:2 fec_rate_in:6 sat:0 ctrl:1 #:Channel4-HD

Also, because of a bug in the Hauppage NOVA DVB-S2 and because Channel 4 HD was previously on DVB-S2, if you are using that tuner card you need to change some parameters in the Windows registry as well, therefore look for any reference in the registry of a folder named "hcw88bda\DVBS_Params\11127000" and please change the parameters inside as follow:

broadcast_type = DVB-S
fec_inner = 0x06
modulation = 0x14

Thanks, that worked! I do have the Nova DVBS2 cards, but didn't need to manually cahnge any registry settings.

I use XMLTV Importer for Sage in conjunction with Digiguide to download and update Sage with EPG data - so I can't just scan for new channels/changes in Sage and I am constantly playing catchup manually editing the FRQ files when a channel stops. Can anyone suggest a way of staying on top of managing channels? Is there a piece of 3rd party software that I could use to just scan channels and get info to update FRQ files without messing up the SageTV settings?

Thanks

Ian

I'm in the same boat as you. I have another nova-s2-hd card in my desktop and usually do a scan on that when I notice a channel not working on the main sage server.

It would be nice if there was a web page somewhere that published the changes but I haven't found one yet.

Am glad for this forum though, managed to change CH4 HD with 2 minutes to spare before The Big Bang Theory started

I just discovered http://en.kingofsat.net/sat-astra1n.php which does seem to highlight changes. It needs some "interpretation" to turn specs into SageTV FRQ format, but it looks like a good starting point.

I also am a fan of The Big Bank Theory!!

Off topic, is there any news on the future of SageTV in the light of the sale to Google? What if one of my SageTV extender boxes dies? I feel that it is only a matter of time until we all have to look elsewhere but nothing I have found comes close to the functionality. If off the shelf PVRs could be networked together so that it didn't matter where you recorded something, it could be played back anywhere that would be the way to go, but that technology for some reason doesn't seem to exist.

Nope, still no news. I'd like to think that if nothings ever going to happen they'd probably tell us. I've had to change the power supply on the HD200, and the network connector at the back is broke - no idea how that happened but as long as I don't disturb the cable it keeps connected. Other than that everything else is working fine for now, fortunately. I'll worry about what to do in the future as and when something stops working, which hopefully wont be for a very long time.

Yes, I used to use the LyngSat, but KingOfSat is far way better and is the place where I go for new parameters and also where I did go last night to get the update.

Note: The parameters in the Windows registry were necessary while ago for enabling the DVB-S2 frequencies for BBC One HD and CH4 HD as well as the new modulation parameter as SageTV driver is not able to handle it. I think it also depends on which of the Hauppauge Nova model you have...

To be quite honest with you I didn't even know that the parameters were changed until I saw this thread ;-), so thanks back to you Ian.

BTW, I'm still using LyngSat sister website here for channels logo, is the most comprehensive in the net.
