Ceton Infinitv 4 PCIe & SageTV 7.1

I been trying to get these to work together for over a month and still can't get it to run. Read through all the forum tips. Card works fine with WMC sage use to work with a PVR box. I ran added the script to the sage.properties file and i go to configure the channels but when it goes to scan comes back with 0 channels scanned. I did install sagedct 2.2 as well. Banging my head on the keyboard... love sagetv just want this to work. I see other with no problems running with there Fios. Any Help?

Windows 7 x64 Pro SP1
6GB RAM
dual core E8400 Intel (upgrading to i7 2700k soon)
Nvidia GeForce GT 240

I don't believe channel scanning works for SageDCT.

The following page might help you: http://babgvant.com/files/folders/sa...ntry20795.aspx

Yeah i did see that but even after all the set up i try to record and nothing caps... i set up all 4 tuners with the listing i click on the show i want to record says its recording but the file stays at 0 on size then an error that it wasn't able to record... i record fine with WMC i just want sage to work cause it would put the episode name and S00E00 as well easier to keep up with...

Are you sure that your channels are marked "Copy Freely?" If not, you won't be able to record them from Sage.

The only way to check it call it cable company, but most.people won't know what you're talking about. Or try to look at the information for channels on you STBs. I know dios tells you if its 0x00 or whatever.

Well, I don't have an Inifinity, but on my DCR-2650 there's a web interface that provides a lot of information, including the CCI setting for the channels I'm trying to tune.

You can either use the digital cable tuner diagnostics http://http://experts.windows.com/wi...rs/451891.aspx or if you did install the babgvant utility and drivers properly, then you can go into network control panel and open the ceton card and there are webstyle menus and screens to see status of the card what the tuners are tuned too and whether there is copy protection and what type.

After a couple of months of messing with this... still not working i did install the SageDCT 2.2.0 i even as the last couple of days reinstall drivers of the ceton card, reinstalled sage 7.1 along with SageDCT. I created the tuner specs... i did notice it keeps using my local host 127.0.0.1:Port could this be the problem? I tried to change the file (sage.properties) to use the computer name and also tried to use the 192.168.xx.x number as well but for some reason the sage.properties keeps going back to the localhost IP. I even tried to delete the sage.properties.autobackup... updating the autobackup but still goes back to that address. Any clues or anyone have any suggestions? Still works with WMC and records all my shows.. i just really like SageTV's features and not a fan of WTV files.

I need to understand what steps you have done. did you install the ceton card and verify it working in windows media center? then you installed sagedct and then output the tuner info and cut and pasted that into sage.properties while the sage service was shutdown? by your previous posts that looks like what you did. now for the channels you don't scan to find them you need to use a guide that works for setup for me I just reused the one that I had set for my hd-pvr boxes. as for the ip addresses what should be output should be same as whatever you see in your network adapter control panel in my case 192.168.200.1 and 192.168.201.1. question do you a firewall running like zone alarm or mcafee?

card works great in windows media i can record on all 4 in media centers with no problem. i used sagedct to create the tuner file to add it to the sage.properties file. i load sagetv see my ceton 4 tuners. but after adding the tv listing by zip code it goes to scan and gets 0 channels. the tuner is set to ip 192.168.1.6 but my tuner file shows :

mmc/encoders/123457000/encoding_host=192.168.1.6\:7000
mmc/encoders/123457000/forced_video_storage_path_prefix=
mmc/encoders/123457000/last_cross_index=0
mmc/encoders/123457000/last_cross_type=100
mmc/encoders/123457000/live_audio_input=
mmc/encoders/123457000/multicast_host=
mmc/encoders/123457000/never_stop_encoding=false
mmc/encoders/123457000/video_capture_device_name=SageDCT-Ceton InfiniTV PCIe (00-80-1c-9b) Tuner 1

in looking at my sagedct i see this error

2012/05/24 01:49:24.57 : Startup Error: Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {7A10E1E1-F430-11D2-8E75-00104B93CF06} failed due to the following error: 80040154. - 0 - Ceton InfiniTV PCIe (00-80-1c-9b) Tuner 1

i use windows firewall and its set to use any port for sage.

I have an issue, hopefully someone can help.

When recording from my Ceton, many times I can not watch a file until after I reboot the HTPC. If I try to watch the file before rebooting, I just get a black screen. In the interim, I have scheduled a nightly reboot so that the family doesn't really notice. Has anyone else experienced this or have any ideas what to look at?

Thanks!
