Stuttering on HD200 with QAM recordings

I'm looking for some ideas on how to troubleshooting a problem I'm having.

Over the last week, NBC has been stuttering on my HD200 extender. It doesn't seem to be stuttering on my HD300, but honestly I haven't watched it that much. On the HD200, pausing the video momentarily seems to temporarily resolve the issue, and as far as I can tell, the stuttering does not happen in the same places in recorded videos.

But, its kind of annoying. Particularly when it stutters when I have people over for the Super Bowl.

It is possible its some sort of networking problem, so I'm trying a different switch. But, its odd it only seems to occur with NBC, which makes me think it might not be networking related. NBC happened to be the only channel that records using my only HVR-1600. I'm going to try switching over to my HDHR, but last time I used that the HDHR seemed to randomly select either NBC or one of its subchannels whenever I tried to watch/record NBC.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for me to try?

I moved to a new house and had to setup Sage again. My PC Ethernet interface is now broke so I put in a Wireless N adaptor.

Before: PC > Wired 1G E > 1G Router > Wireless N > HD200

Now: PC > Wireless N > 1G Router > Wireless N > HD200

Before no studdering. Now I get studdering. I am pretty sure that it is my networking or one of my drives that is beggining to fail.

As referenced on this forum plenty of times wireless is usually not a good choice for streaming HD. Now you have wireless from the source to the end point. Less than desirable as you have witnessed. Wired would be the choice. Google it and you will find all kinds of reasons not to go this route.

I didn't notice people responded to this thread until now!

I'm still having problems with stuttering on my HD200. It seems to only be on the HD200. My previous post isn't correct- the stuttering isn't just on NBC recordings, my HDHR recordings also stutter from time to time.

It seems like its probably either hard drive or networking related. The stutter appears to be worse when I have multiple recordings going on. But, its odd I haven't noticed the problem with my HD300. Maybe that has more memory for buffering?

Any ideas on what I can do to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue?
