COMSKIP stopped working?!?

How is my logic here... I turned off all dir mon services, so comskip does not run now. I started livetv, and verified that comskip does not run. Now, if I drag and drop the ts file onto the comskip.exe, that should rule out any sagetv configurations, correct? Meaning, this is solely a problem with the comskip.exe or ini.... thoughts?

additionally, could it be a bug in comskip ? i'm using the latest 81.023, what version is working for everyone?

Now I see. I'm not sure if dropping a file that is currently being recorded onto comskip.exe will work or not. I think it should, but I'm not sure. That's a question for Erik.

I'd still try uninstalling all of the plugins, installing CommercialDetector, and setting it up to start processing live TV files. I know that works with the comskip.exe that comes with the plugin. If that does work then try using CommercialDetector with the version of comskip.exe you are using to see if that makes a difference. You need to isolate the problem.

As of right now, I am guessing there is a bug in the latest version of comskip.exe The version 80.042 that you have packaged in the plug in works, and fails on .ts files. I updated ONLY the exe to the 80.042 donator version and all is well thus far. I will try updating to the latest version tomorrow or Monday to confirm the problem is in the .exe.

ok, not sure whats up, but when i put in the new comskip.exe, it just stops working. for now, i'm at version 80.042 and all is well.

Changes in 0.81.011
- Complete change of the used codec and demux. Comskip will now process everything ffmpag can decode. Due to the experimental nature certain features have stopped working. Most noticable is NOT LIVE TV SUPPORT!!!!

(The caps aren't mine, they were in the readme file.)

I took this to mean the new version doesn't support Comskip live and I was ending up with empty .edl files which I had to delete before comskip would work.

So I've set to false:
"start comskip as soon as recording starts" (setup, detailed setup, customize, commercialdetector)

and I've disabled "start on watch" comskip option (setup, detailed setup, customize, comskip playback options, more options, start on watch options)

Now comskip starts as soon as the recording is over - not as nice as before but no need for manual dropping of file into comskip.

Noticed Erik is working on comskip - 2 versions out today alone.
