Oops: Need to extract video listing for specific hard drive
I had an unintended format on a hard drive (long story). I tried to recover the data & can, but it is probably more work than re-ripping the video. However, I'd like to save some time & figure out what was on that hard drive so that I don't have to recheck every video source.
Is there a way to access Sage's video listings other than via the tv interface? I'd like to export to a Spreadsheet, and filter for only what was on that specific Harddrive. I have BMT installed, but cannot see an easy solution via the web interface. Any help would be appreciated. ...and of course it happens right before I get my RAID solution in-place. PS: I forgot to add that I can still see the deleted videos in the video listing, and have turned off auto rescan (hopefully to keep the data) Last edited by Spot; 11-27-2011 at 07:05 PM. I'd use the web interface (not bmt). Media library -> Search imported media. Enter the path to your missing import folder, something like " D:\imports\* " in the Filename: search field. You can also get an XML file with the results by clicking the orange button at the top.

Thanks...It took me a while to figure it all out, but I now know what I have to re-catalog. I was able to recover all of the data files, but without identifying info (to include title).
I'll write off the recorded video as a loss since it'll be too hard to get all the metadata whipped into shape...but hopefully, the movies will be a different story. Thanks again! |

I was chasing down a rogue network call to an old shared folder and couldn't find what file causing sageTV to look for it. I tried the Web interface, but forgot to use the wildcard so nothing came up the first time. It turned out to be one missing file that had been nuked 3 years ago.
