Check your .Net installation. It works fine for that Zip.

Under the MlbDude folder you will see a program called GetWeather.exe.

Execute it from that folder with the cmd line as:

GetWeather.exe http://www.weatherroom.com/xml/ext/75089

and see what it says.

Got it to work. For whatever reason I did not have an mlbdude subdirectory (dumb mistake) within the originalv2 directory. After fixing this all was well.

Just in case anyone wants that Java weather extractor I mentioned, it has been release.

Sadly, the ICAO is only for current weather, so there is very limited forcast info...
I will have a look at the Java version and see if I can modify it to use weather.com's output.

Seem to have a little trouble getting this to work when I'm using the mlbdude\\Default2 as my image root. I got an icon for clouds in the top section but the icons, by day, are currently absent.

Not sure this was covered elsewhere, but if you're using the "default2" icon set, you'll need to copy the weather folder.

Oh, and I'm not showing an icon for weather on the main menu. I realize that this, at the very least, is likely a missing Sage.properties entry.

It just looks like the images weren't updated in the Default2 directory & it also has no weather subdir there.

Yes, if you use the Default2 folder, you will want to copy the weather images folder over into that folder.

In fact, if you are using any other "theme" folder for your right_images you will need to copy them. These images I supplied are intended to be used with the Default theme but can be shared with any other.

Is this expected behavior or am I the problem!

And thank you for all of the effort that has gone and is going into this .stv. It really adds a lot of polish and useability to Sage.

Thanks,

Lynn
Wow, you just ended almost four days of frustration by mentioning that. I've been trying to get my pictures to show up and having no luck. Then I read your post, restarted sage, and boom. There they were, so you're not alone.

Cleared up after a reboot.

And, yep, I'd already copied my files over to the Default2.

Sorry, but I like the Windows MCE theme more.

Is there a property in Sage.properties for the 2 pane Horizontal/Vertical for the "Sage Recording Menu" under "Detailed Setup->Enhancements"? I appear to be losing my setting on each startup.

I can not get GetWeather or GetWeatherJava to work, both say they cannot connect to the remote server. Then I tried browsing to the webpage:
http://www.weatherroom.com/xml/ext/75089

And I get site not found?

It appears to be down right now....maybe we all brought it down with our need to be weather conscience!! ~

If this downtime continues....I'll try to write an html screen scraper for weather.com or any other weather website someone knows about.

Ok, I have tested for a while now and have noticed one problem with the close at eof parameter.
Everything worked great, till I rebooted. Now when watching shows to the EOF, it locks up again. I checked the line in the sage.conf, and it's still set to false as before, but it seems like sage is ignoring it now. Any ideas?

The pop up channel box when using alternate Live TV guides still does not work. Thanks

Try this weather service as the one you are using seems unreliable.

external_dvd_player_params not working?

Thanks for the latest update.

Here are my external_dvd_player settings in sage.properties:

external_dvd_player=C\:\\Program Files\\TheaterTek\\TheaterTek DVD.exe
external_dvd_player_params=/NOSPLASH /RES 1920 1080 /AP 2

When sage runs the DVD, it launches TheaterTek ok, but the command line does not get passed (or i can't see any effect).

Any ideas?

man I cannot believe it you crashed the weatherroom.com website bad

I have not been able to test it yet
I go to the website and it is down
I try it in sage and just loading forever

I am using your default 2 folder as well
I moved all the pictures in there downloaded your STV and the java weather module

configured the line of the property file

mlbdude/weather_exe=\\STVs\\MlbDude\\GetWeatherJava.exe
mlbdude/weather_exe_java=true
mlbdude/weather_file=\\STVs\\OriginalV2\\MlbDude\\Weather.txt
mlbdude/weather_provider=www.weatherroom.com
mlbdude/weather_url=http\://www.weatherroom.com/xml/ext/
mlbdude/weather_zip=75019

and

ui/main_menu_weather_enabled=true
ui/main_menu_weather_text=Weather

am I missing anything or is that website just dead?

It just appears to be down due to techincal difficulties, hopefully will be up soon. I can't imagine we were the cause. The xml we're grabbing is 1-2k in size....so even if combined we did it 1000 times today, still that's just a 1MB of bandwidth.

BTW:
mlbdude/weather_exe_java=true

Remove that line, it doesn't work and could make it not work when the site is up again. It wasn't meant to be run with my java program, it was meant for something else not implemented and should be set to false or removed. I am told it will be removed in the next revision of the STV.
