No Video Playing All of a Sudden

About 2-3 weeks ago, I found that YouTube videos werent playing. I found that I had to update to the most current version and they would work again, they did.

Now yesterday, I try to watch a recorded show and nothing but a black screen and it stops at :03 into it.

Hmm, tried another recording I know works, same thing

Tried a stored DVD... Same thing

Tried a YouTube Video... Same Thing

I have gone as far as reinstalling SageTV from Scratch and nothing is working... wtf?

I am to the point I am going to reinstall the whole OS, but wanted to post here first.

Any Ideas?

have you tried playing youtube and other media with other players. Does youtube work in your normal browser (IE, Firefox, etc.)?

Do videos work in windows media player?

Um, the extenders dont have a browser.

If you mean on the server itself, I am not sure as it runs headless.

Hi,

I got that once when something with the imported media went wrong: Video thumbnails showed up in my Photos and most of the video files could not be started any more. The solution was to remove all import folders, rescan the import folders, re-add the import folders and scan them again.

Did you keep your wiz.bin? That may be the reason, why a reinstallation did not help.

So, I re-installed again, and it still did not work, but I found an interesting thing.

If I start a recording, the time at the bottom goes along normally, but no video or audio. If I fast forward it, I get video, but as soon as I press play again, it freezes on that scene and the timer at bottom keeps going normal speed again.

I am at a complete loss on this one.
