Win TV-PVR-500, new Motherboard

I have had this problem with 2 LGA 1155 (sandybridge) motherboards (different vendors), so I am thinking it might be a Win TV-PVR-500 problem.

I can get the computer running fine. When I plug in the Hauppauge Win TV-PVR-500, the computer will not POST (power on selft test). The fans turn on for a few seconds, then they turn off for a few seconds, and the cycle repeats indefinitely. I never get to the boot splash screen.

Is there a bios on the TV-PVR-500 card that is not compatible with the newer CPU's?

How much RAM do you have in your system? The PVR-500 has issues with systems running greater than or equal to 4GB of RAM.

I have the same problem with a Biostar motherboard running a core i3 sandy bridge processor. Scaled down to 2gb of RAM but that did not help.
