Making "Delete" Easier
Quick question for everyone: Once a video ends, I always have to hit the "Advanced Options" link on a show to expand the options and show the "Delete" option.
I've looked for a setting to "always expand" advanced options or something to that effect, but can't find anything. ( So, is there any way to make deleting a show easier, without all the additional remote "clicks"? (or perhaps, get "delete" option to show up in the Video stop dialog box similar to recorded shows?) Thanks, Dan Last edited by mdnttoker; 09-29-2011 at 11:29 PM. |

Three options:
1. - Setup -> Detailed Setup -> Ask to delete recording at end of playback 2. - Setup -> Detailed Setup -> Options menu mode for videos and recordings (switch from Basic to Advanced) 3. - If you are using a HD200 or HD300 there is a delete button on the remote # Smiley

Also, the "Multi Function Stop" plugin will , when you press stop, give the option to delete the show

Neither of these responses is relevant to Phoenix.
In the current release, you best bet is to delete the file after watching it - it's one of the options when you hit stop. In the next release delete is going to be easier and more consistent across all the various ways you interact with media in Phoenix. btl.

Thanks. For TV recordings, I do indeed get the option to delete after watching, but for imported videos, I don't get the same option (I have to go back into the Video info screen, hit advanced options, and then hit delete). I'll hold on for the next release ![]() Thanks! -Dan |

Myself personally don't want it easy to delete. When the system is being used in a household or by people who don't really know sage this can prevent accidental deletes
