Does anyone know how to define Guide/EPG catagory for programs without categories?

I have several TV channels with no guide information. I would like to display the guide with a color other than completely blank. Does anyone know what's the category name for undefined categories?

Not sure what you're asking. If a program from the guide has a category that does not have a special color defined, or has no category at all, then the STV uses the default black background. IIRC there is a theme for the EPG that controls which colors to display for each category. You'd have to edit that theme to check for no category and then display a specific color.

I can modify almost all category colors using the standard SageTV STV. However, I dont know how to change the color for all programs that dont have a category. Is it possible to change this settings from the default somewhere? I looked in the theme.properties file, but didnt see anything that looked like would be it.

There isn't a category to select for "no category" so I think your out if luck unless you do a mod to the STV.

I noticed that for shows that didn't display a category, if you looked in the details for the show the category would be listed as "ReRun" (which seemed odd and it was also not in the category selector.. For assigning colors) so I tried to assign a color to the category "ReRun" by manually typing it, but still no go...

Why do you want to assign a color to shows without categories?
