multiple tuners all tuning to the same channel
I have just done a RE-install of SageTV 7 on a system using 3 internal tuners connected to cable boxes, each of which is controlled by a UIRT (acutally a UIRT and two additional outputs from a splitter plugged into the back of the UIRT). All the hardware and software are the same as before the reinstall of SageTV (when everything worked fine), but I am now having a problem with the tuners: whether it is a manual recording or a scheduled recording, the last tuner tuned causes the other tuner(s) to be tuned to THAT channel. In other words, the first tuner tunes properly. When I select a channel on the second tuner, it puts THAT channel on the second tuner, plus the first-tuned tuner. When I select a channel on the third tuner, it puts THAT channel on the third tuner, plus the two previously-tuned tuners. I am CERTAIN it is not being caused by the emitters “leaking” over to the other tuners. (I have each cable box/emitter in a separate box taped up with electrical tape. Also, when I navigate to the SETUP VIDEO SOURCES part of SETUP and navigate to the CHANNEL SETUP I am able to tune each individual tuner and confirm it's on the correct channel via the PREVIEW THIS CHANNEL option—when I tune the tuners THIS way, each tuner stays where I put it, even after tuning the other tuners to different channels.)
I'm pretty sure I have isolated the issue to being a software problem, but who knows. My system consists of the following: Dell XPS 410 Windows XP MCE SageTV version 7.0.235 My tuner drivers are up-to-date I hope I am posting this in the correct place--if another place on the forum is better, please let me know. I am a forum newbie. Does anyone have any ideas about how to fix this issue? I really appreciate the help. Lee |

Here's a recent post which talks about the changes you need to make to the .ir files to run multiple IR emitters from a single USB-UIRT:
