Launch SageTV Client with IR remote

With the sales of the HD300 being discontinued I've had to resort to a media PC in our media room. Some pluses and some minuses... Pluses are easy access to the Internet, etc. Minuses are size of the box even though it is a small foot print box but the biggest is I have not been able to configure the PC to launch SageTV client with the IR remote.

I purchased what I thought was a Media Center Remote but ended up being a no name Vista MCE remote. While it works well with no additional software installed the primary "Green Button" launches Media Center.

I do not use the supplied remote but instead a Harmony One remote but for the life of me I cannot figure how to assign a key to launch SaveTV Client.

Anyone with a suggestion?

I use Stephanem's software. http://www.lmgestion.net/@en-us/4/22/60/article.asp

It's simple and easy to use.

I use Intelliremote.

Not free, but well worth the money. It allows you to remap every key on your IR or Bluetooth remote. You could remap a key to launch the Sage client or do just about anything (turn off the monitor, restart, etc.)

I'll second this suggestion. There's a free iPhone client to goes with it as well.

I've always used Girder.. mainly because I've always used Girder. Can do quite a bit more than any of the other options.. and also costs the most as well, I think.

Thanks guys, got something working this weekend and all is well now.

I was looking for a single button solution but ended up with a complete redo of the remote using EventGhost.

Thanks again...
