Audio return delay while using FF or RW

When ever you skip ahead or back, the video starts immediately but the sound takes about 5 seconds the come back on. It is really annoying. Is this an adjustable setting somewhere, or is it just the way it works?

Thanks

Try changing your Audio decoder or the Audio renderer to something other than default or different from what you currently have it set at.

When I use the Sonic audio decoder with another video decoder I get the same results.

Following gplasky's advice should do it.

That was it, thanks. I had intervideo for video and sonic for audio. Both are intervideo now and it's working fine (I had to restart sage for the delay to go away).
