SageTV finds the channels but I get no video or audio

I am saddened by by SageTV's being acquired by Google. What's the latest for current users of SageTV?

I have enjoyed and appreciated using SageTV for 4 years or so. Because I have 2 Plextor PX TV402U's, it looks like I am stuck with running Windows XP on that PC. My CATV system is a small local system and is still running a mix of analog (I guess) and digital channels.

I tried SageTV ver 7 with Windows 7 new PC and a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 9500. This did not work well at all. As I just use the recording capability to watch TV shows when I want and the digital stuff is not such an issue for me, I have just fallen back to my old machine with XP which recognizes and works with the Plextor boxes.

I am having some problems. SageTV finds the channels but I get no video or audio. My STV file is 6.6.2.25 Aug 8, 2010. As I am not the brightest technical person, I could use some direction/ideas/etc..

What's the latest for current users of SageTV?

Nobody who knows has publicly posted any info about the future other than the forums are up and the EPG remains working; support still seems to be operating and for Windows systems, you can upgrade to v7 for free ("they will run with existing V5 or V6 licenses").

However, if you peruse the forum a bit, you will find many threads on the topic, from bitching and moaning to pure speculation

Hopefully Google will provide some kind of a pathway for current owners, if they plan on building on the Sagetv product.
