Exclamation Audio and Video Playback Problems with OTA HD channels

My trial period with the Server and Client showed no problems whatsoever. I think the versions were 6.4.?? or something (I downloaded them the last week of January, 2009). Anyway, I am running my server on a dedicated windows xp machine and recording to a dedicated 64k-block drive. My client runs on an AMD Turion 64X2 2.4GHz, Vista Home Premium 64-bit OS, receiving stream over 802.11n. I just purchased a license for both client and server. I also upgraded them to the 6.5 versions.

Now, my problem...

I am viewing OTA ATSC signals. For OTA HD channels I have these problems:
1. The sound is pulsing(cutting) in and out rapidly.
2. The video is stuttering.
3. When I change (or initially view) a channel, it is blank. I have to advance the playback forward to force it to live tv, then it starts to render smoothly for one or two seconds until it starts to behave as in 1. and 2.

I have tried practically every combination of audio/video codec and video render settings and get the same problems. I tried a wired 1G network connection to my LAN but the problem did not subside. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the client and the problem still exists.

I don't seem to have any problems viewing the SD OTA channels except for the one mentioned in 3 (without 1 and 2 behavior).

Any suggestions.

Overlay Rendering

Okay, I tried the overlay rendering setting and it seemed to fix the problem in windowed mode... BUT, when I go to fullscreen I get an error:

"There was a Playback Error in playback. Details: sage.PlaybackException: ERROR (-4,0x80040217): There was a problem rendering the video portion of the content for playback.

Now what?

error

That error seems common with a codec issue.
