You could install Boxee on the PC, and use the new Boxee software for a client. You don't have to use a Boxee Box for Boxee

Just keep in mind that the SageTV app for Boxee is not and never will be a "full" client. It will let you view SageTV recordings and live TV, set up recordings, manage favorites, and actions of that nature. You won't be able to install plug-ins, you will most likely use the Boxee UI/feature-set for local media access, etc.
(I'm not knocking the app in the least, I'm totally loving all the working that has gone into it so far -- just want to be sure folks understand what it's meant to do and what it won't do)
