Looks like I am going to have to scan for lineup on the Primes. It is doing it on both my machines. One machine has multiple lineups (1 for HD-PVRs, one for HDHRPrime, and one for original HDHR), and the other machine has only 2, one for the HDHRPrime and one for an original HDHR.
Both are failing on the HDHRPrime tuning of a couple channels. Both are subs of one of the local PBS stations.

Thanks

I assume Sage DCT will add new ports when it sees the new tuner.. but it's something to check quickly

Comcrap must be doing this all over the country now! It happened to me about 10 days ago!
Yeah, it is tricky for me since I have 2 HDHRPrimes, one on each of my 2 servers. I want to add 2 of the new HDHRPrime tuners to the 2nd SageTv machine and the last tuner to my desktop PC to use for watching TV while I'm on the computer using WMC (ugh!!).

The channels might be 'copy once' - not viewable in SageTV

I tried downloading it from babgvant's site but even after creating it a logon it told me I did not have permission to download it.
You need to donate and then babgvant will add you to the permissions list.

I ordered the Prime from Amazon with next day shipping so it should get here tomorrow and I'll go get a Cablecard from Comcast on Friday and try to get it working before the weekend and the Denver Broncos game.
Which version? The 2.72 or something like that requires you to be a "beta" tester which requires a $5 donation. (Money VERY well spent!)
Otherwise you should be able to get the 2.6 version..

After you donate he has to manually add you to the list which was just about a day or less for me,

Ahh that makes sense. I'll go donate to him now.

So I got my HDHR Prime today and the Cable card from Comcast. Getting it activated was actually pretty easy as was getting it setup with Sage thanks to the great instructions on this thread but I am seeing a issue with the directory listings for the main OTA network channels.

They are showing up like Channel 2-2 and its not able to map EPG data to them. They will work but no data. Not sure how to fix this.

Is it just those channels or do all of them look like that?

Go in the The SD setup and see if you have a lineup there.

How long did you wait after you Assigned a guide info in Sage? It takes a while for the data to fill in..

I think it was because the HDHR was still setup when I added the settings to the sage.properties file. All the channels that were assigned to the HDHR were messed up. I had to go through on each of them to assign the right channel to them.

Makes me wonder if I should start with a new sage.properties file but not sure what all is involved in that.

You can "clear all remapped channels" from the lineup you had for the HDHR.
Or remove all your sources and then add them back in. It might *erase* the HDHR stuff.

Sigh - This morning after it was working last night I'm getting no signal on all channels even though in the Prime setup program it shows the channel tuning it. Just not getting to Sage.

Edit: Comcast had to send a few more activations to the card to get the subscriptions to come back. I hope it does not do that often.

Alternative to SageDCT

Just an FYI - http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60815

It is a perl application and is currently designed to run in Linux. If the perl extensions required are available in Windows, it might run in it as well.

ACE007 - what OS are you using? I could not get SageDCT/Prime to work in XP with either 2.6 or 2.7.2. I just moved up to Win 8.1. and all channels on my Comcast list are working except for two which refuse to come into Sage and are not copy-once. This problem was the subject of numerous posts in this thread involving using VLC in SageDCT rather than "Dump" or ffmpeg in 2.7.2, but in the end I could not anything to work consistently in XP. I gave up on getting the last stragglers to work and have an HDPVR tune them with a basic box.

SageDCT/Prime to work in XP
Works fine on XP... most likely a misconfiguration of the firewall (typically the issue).

FYI, I had some issues with status being false. Also the "Test" in SageDCT said connection was refused. I checked the SageDCT service and it was starting under a user account. I changed it to start under the local SYSTEM account and all works fine now. May be another fix for someone else so I posted.

1. Removed all SageDCT sources from video source listing in SageTV
2. Shutdown SageTV (exit)
3. Shutdown SageTVService
4. Shutdown SageDCT
5. Shutdown HDHomerun Service
6. Shutdown SJQ
7. Hard-booted the HDHR Prime
8. Configured in HDHR Setup utility (configured and saved for each DCT source).
9. Opened SageDCT. Scanned with overwrite and reset. Generated sources. Saved to new clipboard file. Saved new SageDCT port config (once on each tuner).
10. Exited SageDCT.
11. Copied the contents of the clipboard file. Opened Sage.Properties and pasted these contents over the old prime information in the file (after searching for prime). Saved.
12. Started HDHR service, SageDCT Service and SageTV.
13. Added the 3 new SageDCT sources and configured. All now show as functioning.
14. Restarted computer and went to bed.
15. No problems for now.

I am trying to get the ffmpeg capture option to work in Windows 8.1 / 64 so that I can tune some problem Comcast channels. The channels are not copy-once or protected but they will not record using Dump. SageDCT 2.7.0.2 is working fine with Dump but when I switch the capture method to ffmpeg no recording is made and the log shows the following errors:

Before installing 2.7.0.2 I uninstalled 2.6.
Does anyone know what this is about?

Thanks. Andy said he didn't now why it wouldn't work in 8.1 since his dev box is 8.1 and the dll loads fine. I'm hoping to hear that someone has gotten 2.7.0.2 to work in 8.1.

I believe I found what the problem is.. if you have this property set to true "encode_digital_tv_as_program_stream=true" then the ffmpeg option will fail. If you have it set to false then it will work. On my server I have it set to true. (why it failed).. On my test machine I tested it both ways and the only way it worked was when it was set to false.

I have always had it as true (Recommended by Sage Support) ... maybe that is why I never experienced any bad recordings using the Dump option.

nyplayer - I am glad to hear you have ffmpeg working in 8.1 but changing this setting had no effect on my problem. I turned off the Sage service, made the change to Sage.properties, changed SageDCT to fffmpeg, allowed it to stop and restart the DCT server, restarted the Sage service and tried to watch or record several channels. No channels record or play while using ffmpeg. I can see DCT sending the channel command to the Prime (the tuner lights up) but then it stops after one second. The DCT log shows the exact same error messages I posted above. Changing the setting had no effect on Dump. There are 4 unrestricted channels that will not work, plus several others fail some days but not always - that is the frustrating part. I have double checked they are all unrestricted and they play fine in VLC. All of the channels show 100% signal strength and signal quality in HDHR Setup. Any ideas where to check next?
