No mail here either... Sage has honestly been the best tech purchase I have ever made.

From early quirks of a server in the living room and the wife calling "It won't change channel!" to the pure bliss of the extenders!

none here either - 6 years as a client - placeshifter, server and a media extender. Same email address blah blah blah.
Hopefully Google didn't buy Sage's email database software

This email was only sent to a handful of people who I've closely interacted with over the years. My apologies to those that were left off...but it's hard to remember all the names considering the size of the list I had to create. Honestly, I used Outlook autocomplete, went through every letter of the alphabet, looked at every name in the list, and put all the ones I recognized on the list. So it was easy to miss some...but it seemed like a fairly OK way to come up with a list like that. Again, my apologies for those long time users that did not get that email.

Hope you feel really special. I'm in the top ten of the posters on this site, and I didn't make the email cut either.

Not to split hairs, but this really should have been sent to all customers (y'know, the list of non-google people who have sent you money). Sending a note to those you've interacted with personally is one thing, and nice and all, but it really should have been a list of every customer email from the store purchases at the very least.

+1 Didn't get an email.

ugh...this is all extremely frustrating. With the high level of devotion that the SageTV user base has had towards the product over the years, I would have thought that the owners had the same, if not more, devotion to their end users. It certainly has not shown over the past several days.

It may not be SageTV's fault, it's could easily be their lawyers' faults.

Thanks for checking in, I'm sure things are ... different for you right now. If we are right about your future I'm sure you are quite busy with the google people. It's just my hope that when you are able to share some news (or a new beta product) that you get a hold of all of us.

No email.
I don't have much hope in the next version of "the product" working well in Canada. It is my feeling markets outside of the US will be left out until the product is stable. Using Tivo and Netflix as examples, we'll wait years for a sad half complete offer.

It's crummy news, but I've started testing alternatives.
