SageDCT Ceton and Comskip / placeshifter

For those that have this working I am wondering what kind of files SageDCT/Ceton creates? everything I have outside of the HD-PVR create mpg files. Where the HD-PVR creates ts files. and it seems that the ts files are more problematic with comskip / showanalyzer. and can be sluggish via placeshifter.

So does the SageDCT/Ceton combo create mpgs or what?

Does they work with current donator version of comskip? or Showanalyzer?

and can you effectively watch something remotely (WAN) via placeshifter that was recorded with the SageDCT / Ceton combo?

Thanks for looking

-Yes. Standard MPEG2 PS files I believe.

-Yep. I'm back a few versions from the latest donator comskip and it works quite accurately. I should upgrade to the latest, just haven't gotten around to it.

-Yep, works great for me. Some don't seem to want to play over placeshifter, but I have the same problem on some shows recorded by my HVR-2250, so I don't think it's specific to the Ceton recordings.

My only issue with Ceton/SageDCT/SageTV so far has been that the latest SageDCT versions (1.3/1.4) don't work right (cause tuners to go missing, etc), so I'm using 1.1 right now I think. Only problem with 1.1 is the massive memory leak, so I have a task setup in Windows to restart the SageDCT service about every 4 hours. Doesn't really cause me any problems as I've scheduled the restarts around my usual recordings.

I believe it produces .ts (transport stream) not .ps (program stream).

Running 1.4 SageDCT no problems whatsoever...
