MLB extra innings - home vs. away games?
sometimes MLB extra innings shows both the home and away broadcast for games. when the daily update is shown (e.g. before games start) where they give the games/channels, they append a (h) or (a) to the game info.
for example, yesterday there was an option game2 - boston red sox at detroit tigers (h) game3 - boston red sox at detroit tigers (a) however, in the EPG, both show up only as 'boston red sox at detroit tigers' so EPG information (unless i'm missing something) cannot distinguish between the home and away broadcasts? any suggestions? contact sage and ask them to contact epg provider?

Maybe ask Sage to create a new field in the EPG database?

I'm guessing it wouldn't matter because I'm sure it's Zap2It that's normalizing the data that Sage ultimately receives and ends up in our EPGs. And if I'm right, Z2I won't change such data normalization policies.
I think, on this one, you're really at the mercy of the Sage scheduler and which (random) channel it happens to choose for any one game. Now, if you happen to notice a pattern such as the home broadcast is always on the first (lower numbered) channel or vice versa then you could whip up some scripts to nudge Sage in the right direction as far as choosing the appropriate channel to record from.
