Possible Option

Let’s say one has stopped playback of a video. Then later they go back to it to resume watching it. One clicks the media file and then a message pops up that says Resume or Restart From Beginning.

IMO, it would be nice if this could be an option that can be toggled based on preference. In my mind the video should just start playing with the assumption the person wants to start watching where they left off, without being asked.

If the video starts in the middle and the person wants to start it from the beginning they can easily do that if necessary. I would say in my house it’s rare to restart from beginning rather than resume play. So to me it seems like an extra click and another layer between the program actually playing on the screen.

but with the clean look of phoenix the user is very limited to what options they have when watching media. i suppose you could use the left arrow many times, or use the skip back button...

Pressing stop during playback gives one all the options they would need...
