Hello all,
SageTV (and plugin developers) offer great ways to organize movie collections and tv recordings. I'm very happy with that. But what I really miss, is a comfortable way to browse my home videos together with my photos. I think it's a quite common use case to take some pictures (e.g. kid's birthday) and make some short videos as well. These files are then kept together in one folder (like "Garfield's 3rd Birthday" ![]() An obvious solution might be to extend the SageTV Photo library to list the thumbnails of video files in the same folder as well. This is basically the idea of a "gallery" as it is used in Photoshop Elements or the Android mobile phones ("Picasa"). I know that there is a plugin (Photoshop Elements Viewer). I used it for a short time, but I noticed that I - don't want to use Photoshop Elements (I prefer simple folder grouping) and I - prefer the look of the SageTV photo library. I'm about to send a feature request to SageTV, but before I would like to know whether there is any existing solution that I missed. Thanks in advance! Eyk

To my knowledge, Sage and Sage plugins have never offered a way to show pictures and videos together in one folder. I believe they are treated differently. However, I don't know if they could be forced to "mingle".
We do the same thing (take pics and videos from events). Since they've always been separated in Sage, I never thought about this before - in fact, I don't even bother putting them in the same folder, I keep all my pics in a completely separate "pictures" directory - but I suppose it would be cool to have a folder view and label the folders per "event", and have both types of media together in it.

You can sort of use the File Browser (under the search menu) to do this only issue is that there aren't photo thumbnails or a grid view like the photo viewer. You can open the photos one by one there as well as the videos listed there. Not super graceful but will do in a pinch

Im not 100% positive and don't want to speak out of turn for stuckless/bialio, but im pretty sure that what you are trying to accomplish can be done using the new concept of VFS (Virtual File System) found in BMT/Phoenix.
I know in Phoenix there are ways to define these VFSs and subsequently assign menu items to them. thats what your looking to do right? ~PiX64 |

You read my mind, this is what I said to myself last week. Went on vacation and recorded great video and pictures but can't find them in 1 place.

Hello,
so there is no out-of-the-box solution and definitely none that I could explain to my family ![]() So I will send a feature request. Thank you for your answers! Eyk

Hi,
When setting up your import directories in detailed setup could you not specify that both photos and videos be imported from the selected folder? I am pretty sure I am doing it this way. HTH. Jesse Edit: This will not work. I have been using My Movies for so long I had forgotten that the home videos do end up in the video import section. Sorry.
