Best way to copy "Recordings" to "Videos"?
Hey Guys!
I have some documentaries that I recorded off of TV so they are in my Recordings area. I'd like to save/keep these documentaries. I'm trying to "clean up" a bit and would like to put these recordings into my "Videos" area in their own folder since I view "Recordings" as just TV that I watch and then delete and have no desire to save. I think I have read how to do this but would like to get confirmation first to see if this is the best/actual way to do it before I screw something up I read there is a property called "enable_converting_imported_videos_to_tv_recordings". Here is what I think I need to do... 1. Shutdown Sage and Service. 2. Change the above mentioned property to FALSE. 3. Copy recordings I want move to the new import folder. 4. Restart Sage. 5. Verify the documentaries were correctly copied to the "Videos" area. 6. Delete these out of "Recordings". Am I correct in thinking that doing the above will allow me to make Sage think that one of my recordings is now a "video" and ignore the embedded data so it won't automatically show back up in the "Recordings" area? Plus, since I deleted them as "watched" they won't automatically record again if one of my favorites. Thanks! Just want to make sure I do this right the first time |

So that would work.. however, there's an easier way: 1. Navigate to Videos -> Menu Options -> Advanced Options -> TV Recordings in Import Directories are: Imports 2. Rename File 3. Setup -> Scan Imported Media This will bring the new entry into the Videos section. It sometimes will take a while for it to disappear from recordings though.. you can manually delete the entry from there.

Gotcha on the 3b.
Is your #1 doing the same thing and changing the property to FALSE like I mentioned... just doing it via the remote instead of editing the text file? Thanks, Fuzzy! I did notice you had a plugin which I think does the opposite of what I'm trying to do. How hard would it be for you to "flip" your plugin? LOL |

As for the plugin, I'm sure I could at some point, just haven't had any time to do any plugin stuffs lately.
